My family and I had just finished hiking Diamond Head and were looking to grab some breakfast. I hopped on Yelp and found Moke's Bread and Breakfast with 4.5 stars. We figured this place had to be good, it was rated pretty high and was under the category "Hot and new". The place is a little hard to find as the address faces the street but the actual entrance is in the plaza.
We were greeted with a super warm welcome as soon as we walked in. The overall decor gave me a very clean and crisp feeling - definitely what you're looking for in a breakfast spot. The staff was really friendly and kept checking in on us, our server was attentive and asked questions about our day, how long we were in town, etc - which made us feel super welcome.
The portions may not look like much on the plate but you definitely get full. I highly recommend getting the biscuit with the honey butter... I added pepper to the honey butter and it was the perfect blend of salty and sweet with a little kick. My family loved their Loco Moke, which used a Rib-Eye vs the usual Hamburger patty.
I loved the food and I loved the service. If you’re familiar with the area you know how much pride the locals have. If you’re not from the area you’ll be impressed with their kindness and welcoming attitude.
